About Us

The Colonial Army is the official student fan group for all men's and women's basketball games!

Founded in 2003 under the guidance of the Spirit Department, the Colonial Army started as an email list informing members of upcoming games and events. By the end of the season, over 150 fans had joined the list.

In 2004, the Colonial Army expanded greatly and became an official student organization. With the support of the Spirit Department as well as the Athletic Department, the Army has grown to 1,000 members. All members received an official Colonial Army T-shirt as well as an access bracelet which allowed them access to lower level student seating during men's games. Members also received discounted tickets to away games, free food before some in-conference games during second semester, and a host of other great benefits!
